Welcome to the magic of Pete Gregoire Photography! Here’s a little info about what inspires me.
My father gave me my first camera when I was seven years old and taught me the basics of photography. I was instantly hooked. What began as a childhood fascination quickly became a lifelong passion—and the beginning of a lifetime spent capturing images, memories, and moments through my lens.
I love capturing stunning moments in time—beauty, surprise, fury, power, and the everyday moments that make up my life. As an Arizona resident, I feel a deep connection to the Southwest, especially its landscapes, wildlife, and national parks. The Arizona landscape gives me all of this and so much more. Few things compare to the breathtaking beauty of a Sonoran Desert sunrise or the raw power and fury of a monsoon storm.
I also have a passion for fast cars and fighter jets—really, anything that goes FAST! On the other end of the spectrum, I love the quiet beauty of birds, the fleeting grace of clouds, the quirky creativity of Steampunk cosplay, and those unpredictable, fleeting encounters with wildlife.
For me, photography is about being there when a moment happens—and being ready to capture it before it disappears.
The best advice I can give beginner photographers? Always bring a camera! You don’t need to spend thousands of dollars on expensive equipment to capture stunning photographs. Your smartphone has impressive photographic capabilities, and today’s compact point-and-shoot cameras can produce amazing results, too. The key is to learn what your equipment can do and make the most of it. You never know when the perfect photo opportunity will appear!
