My father gave me a camera at age 7 and taught me the basics. I became instantly addicted and that was the beginning of a lifetime of images.
I love to capture stunning moments in time: beauty, surprise, fury, power, and my life. As an Arizona resident, I feel a strong bond with the Southwest landscapes, wildlife, and national parks. The Arizona landscape supplies me with all of this and more. The stunning beauty of a Sonoran Desert sunrise and the ferocity of a monsoon storm are incomparable. I also enjoy fast cars and fighter jets—literally, anything that goes FAST! On the slower end of the scale is the beauty of birds, the ephemeral grace of clouds, the quirkiness of Steampunk cosplay, and the fleeting sightings of wildlife.
My best advice for beginner photographers: Always bring a camera! You don’t need to spend thousands of dollars on equipment to take stunning pictures. Your smartphone has amazing photographic abilities as do the small point-and-shoot cameras. Learn your equipment capabilities!
I have photographed so many of these moments over time. I find that I enjoy photographing the beautiful moments to share with everyone.
